Pengaruh Pemberian Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) terhadap Penurunan Nyeri pada Pasien Plantar Fasciitis: Narrative Review

Latar Belakang : Plantar fasciitis didefinisikan sebagai gangguan muskulokeletal pada ekstremitas bagian bawah yang melibatkan perubahan inflamasi di plantar fascia karena menahan beban berat dengan waktu yang lama. Penggunaan sepatu dengan hak tingi dapat menimbulkan nyeri dan peradangan pada jaringan ikat di bagian plantar fascia. Plantar fasciitis apabila tidak ditangani dengan baik, maka akan berdampak negatif, pasalnya nyeri yang ditimbulkan akan dapat menganggu aktivitas sehari-hari. Salah satu intervensi fisioterapi yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan menggunakan modalitas terapi yaitu extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT). ESWT adalah salah satu modalitas terapi non-invasif yang menghasilkan gelombang suara berenergi tinggi. Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ESWT dalam mengurangi nyeri pada pasien plantar fasciitis. Metode : Narrative review dengan metode PICO yang terdiri dari 4 komponen: P (patient, population, problem), I (intervention, prognostic factor, exposure), C (comparison, control), O (outcome) dan berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi. Pencarian artikel jurnal dilakukan di beberapa portal seperti, pubmed, DOAJ, dan sciencedirect. Hasil : Berdasarkan 20 artikel jurnal yang telah di review menghasilkan bahwa intervensi ESWT mempunyai pengaruh dalam menurunkan nyeri pada kasus plantar fasciitis. Kesimpulan : Ada pengaruh pemberian ESWT terhadap penurunan nyeri pada pasien plantar fasciitis.
